Positano Instagram Spots
1. Positano Spiaggia

The main beach in Positano is probably the most instagrammed spot along the Amalfi Coast and the top thing to do while visiting Positano. It’s simply iconic. The orange beach umbrellas and day beds with the colorful buildings along the backdrop are so photo-worthy.
📸 Photo Tip: Stand between the lounge chairs with the colored buildings behind. You can even get an amazing shot from the water or on a boat in front of the beach.
☀️ Best Time to Go: Arrive EARLY if you want a clear shot without many tourists.
📍Location: Positano Spiaggia (Google Maps Location)
2. Via Cristoforo Colombo

Via Cristoforo Colombo is one of the main roads in Positano and all along this path you’ll find the best views of Positano. You can either stand along the pathway, sit on one of the benches, or go to a restaurant for a drink or lunch with a view. Top picks would include Franco’s Bar or Ristorante Bruno.
📸 Photo Tip: All along this street will be a photo opportunity and although crowded, you should be fine. The lookout point (left photo) has a line where people take turns to take a photo. The benches along the road are also great photo opportunities.

📍Location: Via Cristoforo Colombo (Google Maps Location)
3. Arienzo Beach Club

Arienzo Beach Club is tucked away from the crowds of Positano. Only reachable by a small boat, you can reserve ahead a beach day here. You’ll have to pay a fee to spend the day here and they have packages which will include a bed and lunch. The classic orange-striped umbrellas next to the cliff and sea make this such a photogenic spot.
📸 Photo Tip: Get a pizza and use it as a prop for a photo of you sitting on the lounge chairs with the beautiful views behind.
☀️ Best Time to Go: Go early to avoid crowds.
📍Location: Via Arienzo, 16, 84017 Positano SA, Italy (Google Maps Location)
4. Le Sirenuse

Le Sirenuse is a luxurious 5 star hotel in Positano. With rooms costing €1,000 or more a night, it is the ultimate dream stay. If you don’t stay here, unfortunately you can’t go in and take photos as you please. However, you could instead reserve lunch at one of their restaurants and then you might have the chance to snap some beautiful photos of the views from this hotel. The swimming pool is also ultra famous on Instagram. The long pool overlooking the sea and pastel-colored buildings is a stunning sight to see.

5. Il Tridente Restaurant at Hotel Poseidon

Here you’ll discover breathtaking views of the Mediterranean at Il Tridente Restaurant. This delicious restaurant in Positano is part of Hotel Poseidon. The terrace that overlooks the stunning coastline and colorful hillside is one of the best under-the-radar places to admire the views in Positano.
📸 Photo Tip: Incorporate elements of the restaurant, such as beautifully set tables and flowers to add depth and context to your photos.
☀️ Best Time to Go: for lunch or dinner. Otherways, mid-day for a drink would allow you to have the place more to yourself for photos.
📍Location: Viale Pasitea, 140, 84017 Positano SA, Italy (Google Maps Location)
6. Francos

This is my favorite bar on the Amalfi Coast. Franco’s Bar is part of my dream hotel, Le Sirenuse. Not only is the view one of the best in Positano, the drinks are really nice (although expensive!) Sitting here to watch the sun go down in front of the pastel-colored buildings is a true dream.
📸 Photo Tip: Get a table on the first row for unlimited photos next to the view!
☀️ Best Time to Go: It doesn’t open til 6. I’d go right before opening time as people will line up right at 6 to get a good table.
📍Location: Via Cristoforo Colombo, 30, 84017 Positano SA, Italy (Google Maps Location)
7. Positano Fruit Stand

The Positano fruit stand is one of the most instagrammable places along the Amalfi Coast. You will find it on the side of the road a bit further out from the town center. So you’ll either need to hire a taxi or take the bus here. While there, don’t miss actually having some fruit juice from here – it’s so good!
You could also do a photo tour here with a vintage car that stops along all the scenic routes from Positano and beyond.
The owner, @salvatore.milan0 will help you out with a photo too!

8. Il San Pietro

Right next to the fruit stand, you’ll find the most luxurious hotel, Il San Pietro. If you are lucky enough to stay here, do it! If not, you can still visit for an aperitivo or dinner. The views from here are simply stunning.

☀️ Best Time to Go: Sunset
📍Location: Via Laurito, 2, 84017 Positano SA, Italy (Google Maps Location)
9. Fiordo di Furore

This is one of my favorite photo points. It’s actually quite hard to get to Fiordo di Furore as it’s not really next to anything. The bus system can be over-crowded and not reliable in Positano. So, the best way to get the perfect Instagram-worthy shot here is by hiring a boat at sunset! Plus, a boat tour is one of the best things to do during your visit to the Amalfi Coast.
📸 Photo Tip: Hire a boat at sunset (Book the boat tour here)

One of the most instagrammable places on the Amalfi Coast is in Amalfi itself. Right next to the main beach, you’ll find some rugged rocks where you can sit for a photo.

☀️ Best Time to Go: anytime but sunset offers the best lighting
📍Location: Via Mauro Comite, 25, 84011 Amalfi SA, Italy (Google Maps Location)
12. Hotel Santa Caterina

Hotel Santa Caterina is located right next to the town of Amalfi. This instagrammable hotel is worth every penny. The pool is perched on a cliff with views of the sea. The only way to visit the pool is if you’re a hotel guest. The hotel also has an amazing Michelin Star restaurant which outsiders can visit. Plus, the views from the outdoor seating area is super insta-worthy.
📸 Photo Tip: Book a stay here so you can relax at the pool and take as many photos as you’d like!

Belvedere Cimitero Monumentale can be reached by taking the stairs up from the main square in Amalfi next to the cathedral. The walk up the stairs is not too bad and you’ll be rewarded with the best panoramic views of Amalfi.

Villa Cimbrone, located in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast, is known for its stunning gardens and breathtaking views. It’s a prime spot for Instagram-worthy photos with panoramic views all around. The gardens are filled with statues, fountains, and flowers.
One of the most famous spots in Villa Cimbrone is the Terrazza dell’Infinito (Terrace of Infinity). It offers stellar views of the Amalfi Coast and the Tyrrhenian Sea, framed by a series of marble busts. This spot is particularly popular for photos.
📸 Photo Tip: Position yourself with the busts and sea view in the background. Explore the gardens for different angles and compositions. Look for interesting statues, fountains, and pathways framed by flowers and trees.
☀️ Best Time to Go: Arriving early ensures fewer crowds, allowing you to capture photos without many people in the background. The lighting is also softer which is great for photography.

Vietri sul Mare Instagram Spots
15. The Colorful buildings by Marina Di Vietri

Vietri sul Mare is a hidden gem along the Amalfi Coast. It’s often overlooked as a place to visit but I truly loved it. The town is full of creativity and cheer. This is where ceramics are produced and you’ll find the pretty decorated tiles and mosaics all over the town. Not only are the facades of all the ceramic shops super instagrammable, you’ll find the colored building in the photo above next to the marina.
If you’re looking to save money during your Amalfi Coast visit, try staying in Vietri sul Mare!
📸 Photo Tip: It’s a narrow street – angle your photo in a way that captures as much of the colorful facade as possible.
☀️ Best Time to Go: it’s a quiet photo spot since this town is a hidden gem so anytime should be fine.
