In my love affair with Positano, I’ve been lucky enough to visit four times, and let me tell you, it’s the sort of place that you can never grow tired of. Each visit feels like the first – the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, the charm of the small town nestled on the Amalfi Coast, and of course, the good food. Trust me, Positano does Italian cuisine like nowhere else.
Chez Black, situated on the main beach, is a huge favorite of mine. The family-run spot has been serving delicious Italian food since 1949! For great views, Il Tridente offers some of the best in town, and their tasting menu is so good.
Now, if you wish to escape the tourist traps, La Tagliata is a great way to do so. Situated up in the mountains of Positano, it serves home-cooked Italian food with fresh ingredients from its own garden.
These are just a few of the many great places that make every travel day in Positano a foodie experience. With every visit, I find more and more favorite spots, urging me to stay or at least promise to return.

For a delicious dinner with a view of the beach off the main road, Chez Black is the place to be. Located right on the beach, this restaurant offers stunning views of the sea and cliffs of Positano. The ambiance here is unbeatable, especially at sunset.
Their menu features classic Italian dishes with a modern twist, such as their linguine with lobster and cherry tomatoes.
Now, here’s my little secret about Chez Black. They offer a surprise that you won’t find on their regular menu – a heart-shaped pizza! Yes, you heard it right. All you have to do is ask to get it. It’s my favorite place, not just for its delicious taste, but because the place really brings a smile to my face, especially that heart pizza. Remember, though, it’s our little secret!

Right next door to Chez Black, you’ll find Ristorante Le Tre Sorelle. It’s a charming, family-run restaurant that’s been serving up delicious fare since 1953. Right on the water’s edge, you can’t beat the view. The name, Le Tre Sorelle, means ‘The Three Sisters’, and the place has a warm and inviting vibe.
Now, let’s talk food. They serve up some of the freshest seafood you’ll ever taste. Their linguine with clams is a delight, a simple yet flavor-packed dish. And their fried calamari? So tender and crisp, it melts in your mouth.

Next on my list is Da Adolfo, a charming beachside restaurant that can only be accessed by boat. The journey alone sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Once you arrive at the small cove, you’ll be greeted by friendly staff and a picturesque view of the sea.
Da Adolfo serves up traditional Italian dishes, including their famous mozzarella and lemon pasta. The seafood here is also a must-try, as it’s caught fresh daily by local fishermen. Don’t forget to save room for dessert, as their homemade tiramisu is to die for.

5. Casa e Bottega
Next up, we have Casa e Bottega, an Instagrammer’s paradise with its boho-chic decor and stunningly presented dishes. This lovely spot is all about promoting a healthy lifestyle, from the decor to the menu.
Their organic ingredients are locally sourced, ensuring that every bite you take is fresh and wholesome. I’d highly recommend their Mediterranean bowls and smoothies – truly a much-needed detox after indulging in all the pasta and pizza!
They also have a really cute gift shop inside and I’ve been eying the cute Sicilian face vases for sometime.

Da Vincenzo is tucked away on Viale Pasitea. This family-run gem is as authentic as it gets and has been around since 1958. From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed like one of the family. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and filled with the comforting buzz of Italian chatter.
They are known for traditional dishes and an extensive wine list. Their menu features locally sourced seafood and homegrown produce. Do yourself a favor and try their Spaghetti alle Vongole. And, for dessert, the lemon delight is simply great!

To all the Instagram lovers, Ristorante Bruno is a must. The reason to visit is for the prime outdoor seating with unbeatable views of Positano.

Il Tridente is located in the stunning Hotel Poseidon and is a spot you can’t miss if you’re looking for the best restaurants in Positano. With views of all the pastel-colored buildings in Positano, the outdoor seating makes for the perfect place for admiring all the views.
For mains, try the delicious gnocchi or other pasta dishes. Then, don’t miss out on dessert they have Limoncello Tiramisu. Yes, please!

10. La Sponda
La Sponda is located in the famous Le Sirenuse Hotel, one of the best hotels in Positano. It is a 5-star hotel that I personally, dream of staying at one day. This Michelin-starred Restaurant is one of probably the most beautiful restaurants in Positano. The dinner setting is super unique with lush, trailing ivy running across the ceiling and green tiled walkways.
Chef Gennaro Russo, whose passion and creativity are reflected in every specially crafted dish. The Lobster Catalana or Lemon Risotto is a must-try.
You’ll 100% need a reservation to dine here and it books up weeks in advance.
