💜 Is tipping required in Taiwan? No, tipping is not customary in Taiwan. Rounding up a bill or leaving small change at cafes is appreciated. High-end hotels may charge a service fee
☀️ Best time to Visit: Shoulder season is best from March to May or September to October. Do avoid June to August due to heat and typhoon risks.

Taiwan is one of the safest countries in the world. Locals went out of their way to help me when I looked lost. My tour guide told me you could leave your phone on a table and no one would take it (although I’d still not do that lol! but shows how safe it is).

While accomodation is much pricier than Southeast Asia, you can still find reasonable accomodation for $60+

Food is super cheap on the other hand. So street markets can be your go to.
