Helpful tips for your Cherry Blossom photo hunt:
When to go: Cherry Blossoms are in bloom from late March to mid-April. Magnolias also seem to blossom alongside Cherry Blossoms, so look out for both.
👗 What to wear: White is always great to wear! [shop for white dresses here]. Also, I love matching the color of the blossoms so you could wear a pink colored dress. I always love accessorizing with a bow, hat, or bag! It really adds more to the photo and helps you to know what to do with your hands if you get lost.
📸 Photoshoot experience: Would you love to have amazing photos with the cherry blossoms? You can book a photoshoot with Flytographer.

My favorite book that helped me when I first came to London was Pretty City London. I highly recommend buying it as it’s also a pretty book to have at home. It tells you all the beautiful cafes and neighborhoods to visit and was founded by the Instagram page @prettycitylondon.

Where to find blossoms in London?

My go to for finding the best Cherry Blossoms in London is by strolling through one of the many beautiful West London neighbourhoods.

1. Hampstead

Hampstead is my favorite neighborhood and also where I called home for 6 years. It feels like you’re far from London because of the peaceful atmosphere, but really just moments away. Hampstead feels like a fairytale village with its cobblestone streets, many cafes, and beautiful homes. Walk along the streets like Heath Street or walk past Flask Walk into the neighborhood towards Hampstead Heath. There are many side streets down this way towards the park with blossoms.

1. Notting Hill

One of the most prestigious West London neighborhoods is Notting Hill. It’s famous for its colorful houses and picturesque streets. Many of the houses have stunning cherry blossoms. Stanley Crescent, Pembridge Square, Elgin Crescent, Lansdowne Road, and Portobello Road are my favorites in this neighborhood.

2. Chelsea

Chelsea has an upscale vibe and is full of designer shops and expensive homes. Streets like The Boltons, St Leonard’s Terrace, Egerton Terrace, and Bremerton Street are full of blooms.

4. Kensington

Kensington is another London neighborhood I adore. Home to Harrods and other amazing shopping, this posh area has to be on your cherry blossom hitlist. It’s only a short walk from Chelsea, too. The best blossoms can be found on Launceston Place, Blithfield Street, and Victoria Road.

5. Richmond

Richmond is a bit further away, but an area you should really make the effort to see. It’s located by the River Thames and is home to Kew Gardens and Richmond Park. Many houses in this area have cherry blossoms, and there’s even the most beautiful hidden gem full of flowers called Isabella Plantation. I highly suggest going!

6. Chiswick

Chiswick is a less touristy neighborhood in West London that I love. It often gets forgotten, but is still super beautiful for blossoms.

7. Greenwich

Ok, it’s not just West London that has the best blossoms. Greenwich is also highly noted for its blossoms, located in southeast London. The famous Greenwich Park is full of incredible blossoms.

10 Best Locations for Cherry Blossoms in London:

1. Greenwich Park

One of the most famous spots in London for Cherry Blossoms is Greenwich Park. This huge, leafy park has an incredible sea of blossoms lining the park. The blossoms are located near the Ranger’s House and the rose garden. When it’s in full bloom, you will find photographers at sunrise running to make it here to capture the beautiful flowers. The key is to be at the gate closest to the blossoms so you can make it in first. During the day, it becomes really crowded when in full bloom (typically mid-April). Funny thing is, I went a week after it was in full bloom around 8/9 am, and it was so quiet. The blossoms were starting to die, but my photo above seemed just fine.

📍Address: Greenwich Park (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Greenwich

2. Swiss Cottage

Swiss Cottage is another amazing spot for Cherry Blossoms in London. I lived not far from it in Hampstead and couldn’t believe it took me so long to make it here. It’s insane how many blossoms are at this spot. It used to be a hidden gem, but in recent years it has exploded. There’s even a cafe with a blossom view, but I have to say the cafe is not so nice. It’s more of a service-style place for nearby workers, but the view is totally worth it. In 2025, there was construction going on in the area.

To get here, take the Jubilee Line to Swiss Cottage. It’s located next to the Swiss Cottage Library and Park.

📍Address: Swiss Cottage Library / Cafe (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Swiss Cottage
📸 Photo tip: Visit the cafe & just outside of it, there’s a viewpoint of the blossoms.

3. St. Paul’s Cathedral

St. Paul’s Cathedral is one of London’s most iconic sites. During Cherry Blossom season, there are beautiful pink flowers in front of the cathedral.

📍Address: St. Paul’s Cathedral (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Central London
📸 Photo tip: for a quiet stroll, arrive before 8am.

4. Regent’s Park

This spot and the two below are right next to each other. Regent’s Park is another gorgeous London park full of blossoms. It’s another busy spot, but as the park is quite large, you’re bound to get some nice photos.

The best spots within the park include the trees lining Chester Road and near the south end of Avenue Gardens.  The park has an incredible amount of gardens and flowers!

📍Address: Regent’s Park (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Central London
📸 Photo tip: For a clear photo of the tree-lined street, arrive really early!

5. Brunswick Place

Right next to the entrance of Regent’s Park is this beautiful cherry blossom tree in front of a black gate and cream colored building. It’s one of my favorite spots to visit, and usually it’s pretty easy to get a picture here, even mid-day.

📍Address: Brunswick Place (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Central London
📸 Photo tip: Usually not so bad to get a picture here. You can frame the photo with the contrasting building behind. Amazing if there are some pretty fallen flowers on the sidewalk too.

6. Park Square Mews

This quiet corner is just to the right of Brunswick Place. I love Mews streets, which are usually charming cobblestone streets. This one has a lot of greenery and other flowers, too. Making it one of the prettiest streets for cherry blossoms in London!

📍Address: Park Square Mews (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Central
📸 Photo tip: This seems to be a chill spot so should be easy to get a photo. Be respectful of the homes nearby.

7. Stafford Terrace, Notting Hill

Stanley Crescent is another busy instagrammable location for blossoms in London. It features a gorgeous white home. No wonder it is one of the biggest cherry blossom hotspots in London.

📍Address: Stanley Crescent (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Notting Hill
📸 Photo tip: Super busy location, so patience is key or arrive early!

8. Chepstow Road, Notting Hill

I just love this pink door which perfectly matches the blossoms. It also has magnolias at the same time. The googly-eyes on this door are adorable! I find many spots in London hate people gathering to take a photo but the owners here seem really sweet. They did speak to us and were happy for us to take a photo. I would be mindful though, everywhere you shoot around involving people’s homes to be respectful of their privacy.

📍Address: Chepstow Rd & Chepstow Pl (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Notting Hill
📸 Photo tip: It’s a bit of a small street near a busy road so be careful when capturing.

9. Sussex Gardens, Paddington

The red phone booths in London are truly iconic so this stop is a must as it’s surrounded by cherry blossoms. The street can be quite busy so be sure to come early.

📍Address: Sussex Gardens, Tyburnia, W2 2RU (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Paddington
📸 Photo tip: The phone booth even opens so frame yourself next to it or even inside!

10. The Post Building

This is one of London’s best hidden gems, and it’s completely free. It’s a rooftop with a view of the London skyline and most tourists don’t even know it. Plus, in Spring, you’ll find some cherry blossoms.

My blog post on the best Viewpoints in London goes into other amazing free spots, too.

📍Address: The Post Building (Google Maps)
🏘️ Neighbourhood: Central
📸 Photo tip: not too crowded even during the day

Magnolias bloom at the same time as Cherry Blossoms!! You will get to see these stunning flowers in all the same areas I mentioned across London.
