I have to say, Ayana Estate, has to be the best luxury resort in Bali! It was one of the most beautiful and impressive places I’ve ever stayed. The 5 star luxury hotel is comprised of 4 integrated hotels on a whopping 90 hectares large property. You will find everything you need on the premises, so no need to venture out but just enjoy the stunning landscapes, incredible food, and amazing experiences. This unique resort has something for everyone. Whether you’re a couple, a family, or a solo traveler wanting to have your own me-moon, AYANA has it all.

About AYANA Estate, the Best Luxury Resort in Bali
AYANA Estate includes 4 hotels on a 90-hectare property. Those include Ayana Resort, Ayana Rimba, Ayana Villas, and the newest addition is Ayana Segara. All properties are stunning and you can access the same restaurants and beaches across the premises. I spent 2 nights at Ayana Rimba and an additional 2 nights at Ayana Villas. Since the place is so large, there is a tram that comes by every 10 minutes to take guests from place to place. AYANA Estate has 22 restaurants, 14 pools, a gym, spa, and private beaches all on-site. The location is convenient as it’s only 20 minutes from the Bali airport!
AYANA Villas
Ayana Villas is truly luxury redefined and this is the best luxury resort in Bali! I absolutely loved my stay here and the staff really played a role in that. Everyone was always smiling at me and welcoming me throughout my stay. With the villa, you have a dedicated butler providing personalized service, catering to your every need. Whether it be a private ride on the buggy to another part of the property or organizing a taxi and so on! Each villa boasts its own private pool, surrounded by lush gardens. The room interiors are decorated beautifully with Balinese decor. You’ll quickly see why it’s one of the most beautiful villas in Bali.
One of the highlights of my stay was the floating afternoon tea in my private villa. Not only was it really good, it was such a unique experience to enjoy in the privacy of my villa. Another wonderful addition to my stay was the complimentary 30-minute photoshoot at my villa. The photographer produced the amazing high-quality photos you see above and I love how they turned out. At the end of the day, I relaxed happily in the complimentary flower bath in my villa too!
Ayana Rimba
RIMBA Jimbaran Bali by AYANA has rooms with beautiful forest views and some even have direct pool access from your doorstep! The hotel has a very contemporary design with modern amenities and a peaceful atmosphere. The property offers a range of accommodation options, including rooms and suites that are elegantly making it a comfortable stay.
Pools
There are 14 pools at AYANA Estate so you will have so many options to choose from and be able to lounge in the sunshine with incredible views! I visited many of the pools and I have to say the Ocean Beach View pool and the Riverpool at AYANA Villa were my favorites! All were completely stunning though.
Rimba Forest Pool
The Rimba Forest Pools are directly accessible by some of the rooms at the Rimba! How beautiful are all the flowers surrounding it!?
Cabana at Rimba
The Cabana Pool at the Rimba offers eight stylish cabanas – the perfect place to relax all day.
Ocean Beach Pool
This pool overlooks the Indian Ocean and the private beach at Ayana is just another amazing detail of staying at this hotel!
Riverpool at AYANA Villas
This pool is one of the most instagrammable pools in Bali. It has gone viral multiple times on Instagram so expect a queue as early as 7am to take a photo here – no joke! I thought I was early but there was already a line to shoot this iconic spot.
Thalassotherapy pool
The Spa is really special at AYANA Resort! It has the biggest Thalassotherapy pool in Bali. Thalassotherapy is a therapeutic treatment that utilizes seawater and other marine elements to promote health and well-being. The benefits of these underwater massages is to improve blood circulation, tone muscles, and cleanse the skin.
It features 12 hydromassage stations with 60 jet streams. There are staff members there to guide you through the visit. You can stand in each of the jet streams for one minute and get massaged by jetting water. There are lockers to leave your belongings in. Photography is not allowed for the privacy of the other guests. It is such a relaxing experience to soak in this water with views of the Indian Ocean behind. After, you are welcome to have a tea and relax in the beautiful ornate seating areas.
Restaurants & Bars at AYANA Estate
Part of the reason I believe AYANA Estate is the best luxury resort in Bali was due to the great food. With 22 restaurants to choose from, you will never go hungry! And the food at this hotel is just a reason to visit alone. Everything I ate was well presented and very good. Foodies, AYANA has got you covered! Here were some of the restaurants I tried during my stay.
The Rock Bar
The Rock Bar is one of the best bars in the world! And as soon as you go, you’ll see why. The fun begins before you even walk in! You can take a funicular down which is very cool and offers views as you approach the restaurant and bar. Then you walk through an actual rock! The vibe is so hopping and fun. They have DJs to liven the place up and really nice drinks. This bar is actually super famous for the sunset and is one of the number one places in Bali to watch the sun go down! AYANA Villa guests get priority seating in the main circular space next to the stage.
Unique Roof Top Bar and Restaurant
I love Mexican food and Unique Roof Top Bar really hit the spot for me! I enjoyed having the quesadilla as a starter and the fajitas as my main. The drinks and the views from here were also superior.
To’Ge
To’Ge was another great place to eat with traditional Indonesian cuisine and a huge breakfast buffet offering food from many different nationalities. The outdoor seating is surrounded by water with many beautiful koi fish. You can feed the fish too and enjoy your food while seeing them swim along the water.
DAVA Restaurant
DAVA is the only restaurant offering an all you can eat à la carte breakfast menu. For dinner, you can have steak or Seafood. I tried the salmon with truffle and it was fantastic. This restaurant is the only one strictly reserved exclusively for AYANA Villa guests.
Final Thoughts
I highly recommend a stay at one of the hotels at AYANA Estate. This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in my life! From the delicious food to the stunning views and plethora of pools and beaches, this was the ultimate hotel to have a relaxed vacation. I hope you agree that this is the best luxury resort in Bali!
