Skip the crowds at the Trevi Fountain and head to this spot! This hidden rooftop bar has insane views of the Trevi Fountain but without the crowds. There were only one or two tables full at this little secret spot! For €25 entry per person, you will have a complimentary drink and snacks. It was on my bucket list to visit for a while because I loved the design, and the red staircase looks so pretty. However, this place is insanely busy, which may take away from the experience if you don’t plan right. I passed by at the time the store opened and already saw a massive queue forming way before opening time. You have to buy tickets to visit this bookstore ahead of time, as it does sell out. The ticket price fortunately contributes to a book of your choice inside. I purchased the Ticket-Voucher Livraria Lello for €15.95. The Jardin
2,000 years ago, an entire city disappeared… In 7 2,000 years ago, an entire city disappeared… In 79 AD, Mount Vesuvius erupted and buried Pompeii under layers of ash and 20 feet of volcanic debris. Don’t miss: - Seeing the raised stepping stones so people didn’t walk through the dirty streets - you’ll find homes are still somehow preserved with colorful frescoes and mosaics - the ancient bakeries and fast-food counters - And the most moving part was seeing the plaster casts of the victims. - The forum was the coolest spot to see views of the columns with Mount Vesuvius in the background. My tips: - Go early to beat the crowds and give yourself plenty of time - Pompeii is huge. - I highly recommend hiring a guide because having someone explain what you’re looking at is really useful.
