I have personally visited several times now and still find something new and beautiful to see. I made it my quest to find the prettiest streets and roads in Paris. They span from the most famous streets known by all to more secret less touristic streets. But they all have something in common: a Parisian charm that will make you fall in love with the city of Love! The cobblestone pathways and cafe-filled streets are endless. This post will show you the best shopping streets, the most instagrammable facades, and pretty streets, as well as where to find the best photo opportunities without herds of tourists.

1. Rue Saint-Dominique

Rue Saint-Dominique is one of the best streets to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower behind and lose the herds of tourists. The two best photo spots are right in front of Le Recrutement Cafe and one block closer to the tower at Brasserie Au Canon des Invalides (pictured above). They are also great places to stop for a meal too! Besides the many cars that pass through this street, you will find it pretty easy to snap a photo with the Eiffel Tower at a distance.

Port Debilly is a beautiful spot especially during Autumn time when the leaves of the trees in front turn orangey-red. These gorgeous leaves perfectly frame the Eiffel Tower. It is located on a bridge next to Pont d’lena. As it is much less busy than the tourist-filled spots of Trocadero, this might be one of the best Eiffel Tower photo spots in Paris for sure.

Rue de l’Université is another great Eiffel Tower photo spot in Paris but be sure to go early as this spot has become known to photographers. It is tucked away on a side street with close proximity to the Eiffel Tower. Not as crowded as the Trocadero for sure but still busy enough with instagrammers! Boulevard St Germain is one of the most famous streets in Paris and is super charming. Located in the Latin Quarter (6e arrondissement), it is quintessential Paris with its historical buildings and many cafes. In fact, it is home to Cafe de Flore. Cafe de Flore is a famous Parisian cafe due to the high-end clientele, famous writers and philosophers flock to this cafe. It was also featured in Emily in Paris which has drawn even more attention to this historical coffeehouse. Grab a terrace seat under the beautiful awning and have a hot chocolate while watching time fly by. The hot chocolate is something special as it’s served in a pot and is very rich and delicious.

I definitely recommend the Sunset cruise on the Seine River with Aperitif. This way you can really experience the beauty of Paris as it takes you through key highlights along the way. Also, along the riverbank are many shops set up selling books, art, and souvenirs known as The Bouquinistes. If you’re a fan of literary be sure to check it out as well as other amazing bookstores across Paris. It is also a wonderful photo spot with the cute shops and pretty streets with the cathedral overlooking it all.

The red and green awning with Parisian style chairs is reminiscent of many cafes around Paris. Many of the streets all between this area are really nice so wander and get lost in one of the coolest Parisian neighborhoods. You will find the spot to yourself so it’s a great hidden gem in Paris! During wisteria season it is especially pretty as the pathways are lined with wisteria. Rue Cremieux is located in a residential neighborhood in the 12th arrondissement. This once-secret street in Paris has become Instagram famous but maybe you still haven’t heard of it before. So be sure to add this hidden gem to your list of things to see in Paris!
